[[[p]]]Milton Lodge, A.F. & A.M was chartered on April 14, 1922 as a "daughter" of Macedonian Lodge, which also met in Milton. Both Lodges originally met in the Milton Masonic Building on Adams Street in Milton's Lower Mills until the early 1980s. Named because it drew most of its membership from the town of Milton, Massachusetts at the time, Milton Lodge focuses its charitable giving to worthwhile causes in Milton and the South Shore of Massachusetts.[[[br /]]][[[br /]]]Freemasonry, the world’s oldest continuous fraternity, has a long tradition of "making good men better" and providing charitable support to communities. A few years ago, we celebrated the 275th anniversary of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts and we’re going strong, thanks to interest from men of good character. Our fraternity helped shape this nation throughout its history and guided men towards tolerance, knowledge and benevolence – strong lessons that are especially applicable in times like these.[[[br /]]][[[br /]]]Today Milton Lodge is composed of men from Milton, Quincy, Weymouth, Braintree, and all over Eastern Massachusetts. As an active lodge, there's always something going on – from our Fall Oktoberfest (in partnership with the Quincy Elks and benefitting the Interfaith Social Services Food Bank) to MYCHIP (Masonic Child Identification Program) events in Milton, to our Halloween and Big Football Game parties and many other events. With plenty of opportunity for fellowship, participation in charitable events and fun, Milton Lodge is a place where you can put your skills to use for the good of the community and establish lifelong friendships.[[[/p]]]
