3 Grand Masters at Mystic Valley Lodge in Arlington
On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, the Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts, M. Wor. Paul Fulton Gleason, visited Mystic Valley Lodge in Arlington, MA. He was accompanied by the Deputy Grand Master, Rt. Wor. Scott Jaero, the Senior Grand Warden, Rt. Wor. Fred Dobson, and the Junior Grand Warden, and Rt. Wor. Michael Jarzabek from the Grand Lodge. The Grand Officers were present for one of the few remaining meetings of Wor. Philip Privitera, the Worshipful Master of Mystic Valley Lodge as he finished up his fifth term as Master.
Wor. Bro. Privitera had invited the Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Jurisdiction of Massachusetts, M. Wor. Yves R. Maignan, who was present along with numerous other members of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts. In addition, M. Wor. Jean Reed, Past Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Quebec (La Grande Loge du Quebec) and several members of his Grand Lodge were also present.
Wor. Philip Privitera, the Worshipful Master of Mystic Valley Lodge, M. Wor. Yves R. Maignan, Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Jurisdiction of Massachusetts, M.Wor. Paul Fulton Gleason, the Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts, and M. Wor. Jean Reed, Past Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Quebec (La Grande Loge du Quebec).
The members of the Grand Lodge of Quebec had met Wor. Bro. Privitera many years ago, and had come down to visit Wor. Bro. Privitera one more time when he was in the East. Wor. Bro. Privitera had sponsored the son of one of the members of the Grand Lodge of Quebec as a member of Mystic Valley Lodge a couple of years ago and the members wanted to come down to show their appreciation. They presented Wor. Bro. Privitera with a Montreal Canadiens jersey with the number 1 on it.

M. Wor. Bro. Maignan, of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge, thanked and praised Wor. Bro. Privitera for the work that he had done to help preserve the Prince Hall Mystic Cemetery in Arlington, MA. Something that Wor. Bro. Privitera has been actively involved in for several years. Wor. Bro. Privitera was recently made an honorary member of Africa Lodge #459 for his service to the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts. Wor. Bro. Privitera then made a sizable donation from his family’s foundation to the scholarship fund of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts.

Finally, Wor. Bro. Privitera presented M. Wor. Bro. Gleason with a check for the Brotherhood fund from the members of Mystic Valley Lodge. Wor. Bro. Privitera then matched that check with another check from his family’s foundation.
Wor. Bro. Gleason was very pleased with the expression fraternal love toward Wor. Bro. Privitera from the membership of the other two Masonic jurisdictions present and remarked how important that was for our entire fraternity
He then proceeded to close Mystic Valley Lodge and the brethren proceeded to a collation after several pictures were taken.
