Grand Lodge 2022 Warden Candidates

On Wednesday, September 8^th, M.W. Richard Maggio announced that the following brethren would be candidates for the Grand Lodge offices of Junior Grand Warden and Senior Grand Warden, respectively.

These are the two highest elected officer positions in the Grand Lodge line behind the Grand Master.

Junior Grand Warden

Alfredo Canhoto – Bro. Canhoto was raised in Middlesex Lodge (Framingham) on March 15, 2005. He served as Worshipful Master of Middlesex Lodge from September 2010 – September 2011. He first served the Grand Lodge as Grand Steward in 2012. In 2013, he was appointed as the Grand Representative to Florida. He also served as our District Deputy Grand Master for the 15th Masonic District (North) from 2017-2018. Alfredo was also presented the Joseph Warren Medal for Distinguished Service in 2012 by M.W. Richard J. Stewart.

Russell E. Lowe – Bro. Lowe was raised in Ancient York Lodge #89 (Nashua, NH) on March 8, 1983. He affiliated with Joel H. Prouty Lodge (Auburn, MA) on October 14, 1986. He served as Worshipful Master of Joel H. Prouty Lodge from September 1992 – September 1993. He first served the Grand Lodge as District Deputy Grand Master of the Worcester 22^nd Masonic District from 2001-2002. Russell has served as a Grand Lecturer for the Grand Lodge since 2017. Russell earned the Grand Lodge’s Secretary of the Year Award in 2014. He was also presented the Joseph Warren Medal for Distinguished Service in 2018 by R.W. Christopher M. St. Cyr.

Senior Grand Warden

Glenn L. Kubick – Bro. Kubick was raised in Constellation Lodge (Dedham), now Celestial Lodge (Westwood), on December 19, 1984. He served as Worshipful Master of Constellation Lodge from September 1989 – September 1990 and September 2008 – September 2009. He also served as Master of Celestial Lodge from September 2019 – September 2020. He first served the Grand Lodge as District Deputy Grand Master of the 6^th Masonic District from 2015-2016. Glenn has served as a Grand Lecturer for the Grand Lodge since 2017. He was also presented the Joseph Warren Medal for Distinguished Service in 2016 by M.W. Harvey J. Waugh.

William E. Yanakakis – Bro. Yanakakis was raised in John T. Heard Lodge (Ipswich) on September 3, 2003. He served as Worshipful Master of John T. Heard Lodge from September 2009 – October 2010. He also served as Master of Budleigh Lodge (Beverly) from December 2013 – October 2014 and October 2015 – July 2016. He first served the Grand Lodge as District Deputy Grand Master of the 10^th Masonic District from 2012-2013. In 2014, he served his first year on the Grand Lodge Board of Directors, when he was elected to fill the remainder of a vacated three-year term of office. Bill was elected to serve a full term on the Board of Directors for 2017-2019, and then re-elected for a second term for 2020-2022. Bro. Yanakakis is the chairman of the Grand Lodge membership committee. He was also presented the Joseph Warren Medal for Distinguished Service in 2011 by R.W. John J. Maihos.
